In this post, we’ll shed some light on two methods to embed PDFs in WordPress.
How to Embed a PDF in WordPress
Embedding PDF files in WordPress is simple and only takes a few minutes.
Initially, you’ll need to upload the PDF files to Google drive. Navigate to the New > File upload option and choose your PDF file to upload to Google drive.
After you’ve uploaded the file to Google drive, select your PDF file, right-click to open the options and choose Share.
The share options will pop up. Next, click on the Settings icon at the top right corner of the pop-up to open the settings. Then, select both of the options from the list.
Click Change on the lower bottom corner to edit the privacy setting. Next, choose Anyone with the link to allow anyone to view this file using the following link.
Now get back to Drive and open the file. Select the menu at the top right corner and click Open in new window to open the PDF file in another window.
Then, click on the menu button on the top left corner to open the menu. Once the menu opens, click on the Embed item button to open the embed link.
A pop-up window will appear with the iframe HTML code to embed the pdf file on your website.
Lastly, you can paste the code in your post if you’d rather use the WordPress classic editor to Embed the PDF.
If you’re using the Gutenberg Editor, you’ll need to open a Shortcode block and paste the code there to embed it.
You Can Embed Social Media Posts on WordPress
That’s all there is to it!
Like embedding PDF to your WordPress website, you can also directly embed your social media posts or videos like Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, etc., rather than uploading them now on your WordPress website.
