What Is Clarity Boost, and What Does It Do?
Clarity Boost is Microsoft’s attempt at improving the gaming experience for its Xbox Cloud Gaming platform. It’s an Edge-exclusive feature that you can toggle via the game menu. When enabled, Clarity Boost uses spatial upscaling enhancement to provide an enhanced graphics experience on Windows 11 and 10 PCs.
Clarity Boost is disabled by default in Edge, but you can enable it as and when you want from the Xbox Live menu.
How to Enable and Disable Clarity Boost in Microsoft Edge
Clarity Boost requires Microsoft Edge version 103 or above running on Windows 11 and 10. You’ll also need a valid Xbox Live account to log in to your account.
To enable Clarity Boost:
In Microsoft Edge, open the Xbox Play page and log in to your Xbox account. Once logged in, launch the game you want to play and wait for it to load. As the game starts, click the Menu button in the top left corner. Next, click the three-dots menu (Stream Options) button. Click on Enable Clarity Boost to turn on the feature. To disable the feature, click the three-dots menu and select Disable Clarity Boost.

The addition of Clarity Boost is intended to reduce the muddy look and offer clearer game streams. Though it’s an exclusive Edge feature, when enabled, it makes a noticeable difference in some games by making things less blurry and offering more details.
